Oshio Cafe, located directly across the street from UC Davis, is a small cafe specializing in Korean and Japanese cuisine. The family that owns the restaurant used to run Mirai, which was located where Sushi Unlimited is now operating. The concept at Oshio is smaller scale, with combination plates, Korean entrees, snacks and an assortment of sushi. The service is counter/call and some items take a fairly long time to be served, as the kitchen and staff is very small. There is one flat screen TV located above the cashier; it is usually playing a non-english speaking movie of some sort. The seating inside is slightly cramped; if the weather is fair, it is much more pleasant to sit outside on the patio.
