The fact that Davis hosts major bicycle races such as the Amgen Tour of California and the Fourth of July Criterium also attracted the museum's board of directors.</p> <p>The museum features one of the most comprehensive collections of bicycles in the world, including the UC Davis Pierce Miller Collection of antique bicycles. The museum also houses memorabilia and exhibits related to the more than 120 top bicycling athletes from around the world who have been inducted into the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame.</p> <p>The museum occupies the building that formerly housed the Davis Teen Center.</p>
