According to a spokesperson, "the list of non-emergency activities available is endless." Based on an individual volunteer's experience and willingness to undergo training, he or she may become involved in photography, role-playing (as "victims" during fire department training exercises), maintaining fire-fighting equipment or public speaking educational engagements. </p> <p>Volunteers are accepted on an on-going basis.</p>
